Position: Executive, Port Auxiliary Police (1 Position)
Location: Chuping, Perlis
Job Summary
The Executive, Port Auxiliary Police is responsible for supervising and coordinating security and law enforcement operations within the Inland Port Perlis Sdn Bhd (IPPSB) to protect life, property and cargo. This role involves enforcing port security regulations, monitoring compliance with Malaysian law and port rules and leading auxiliary police personnel to maintain a safe and secure operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Enforce laws, port regulations, security procedures within the Free Commercial Zone (FCZ), port premises and oversee cargo security checks, vehicle inspections and gate control procedures.
- Coordinate with Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Customs and other enforcement agencies as needed.
- Response to security incidents, including theft, trespassing and emergencies such as fire or hazardous spills.
- Ensure compliance with the Malaysian Auxiliary Police Act (Akta Polis Bantuan), Firearms Act, security regulations, supervise auxiliary police personnel and ensure proper deployment across the port.
- Manage issuance and control of port access passes for employees, contractor and visitors and oversee the operation of security systems, including CCTV, alarms, electronic gate systems for adherence to Free Zone and customs regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly security reports for management review.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Law Enforcement or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security, law enforcement or port operations; experience as an auxiliary police officer is an advantage.
- Certified and licensed under Malaysian Auxiliary Police requirements (Akta Polis Bantuan).
- Familiarity with port operations, customs procedures and security systems.
- Firearms handling certification and knowledge of emergency response protocols is an added advantage.
Position: Executive, Technical – Contract 1 Year
Location: Mont Kiara (HQ)
Responsibilities
• Act as the primary point of contact between different teams (internal and external) for project-related communication and technical issues in a clear & professional manner.
• Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, resolve issues to ensure smooth communication flow.
• Prepare, edit, manage official letters and other formal correspondence related to ongoing projects.
• Monitor the progress of projects and prepare a regular progress report to ensure they are on schedule and to track milestones, deliveries within scope.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior/management from time to time.
Requirements
• Possess Diploma/Degree in Civil, Engineering, Communication, Project Management or in a relevant field
• 1-3 years of experience in a technical or project management role, with a focus on communication, coordination, and documentation
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Position: Port Auxiliary Police Officer (16 Positions)
Location: Chuping, Perlis
Job Summary

- Monitor and secure restricted zones, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles gain entry.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems, alarms and electronic access control systems and conduct random inspections of vehicles to detect prohibited items.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, prepare incident and investigation reports for submission to superior and authorities.
- Liaise with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Customs and other enforcement agencies on security matters.
- Other tasks as delegated or directed by the superior/management or any person authorised.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
- Physically fit and able to work on shifts (day/night) including weekends and public holidays.
- Preferably with prior experience in security, enforcement or law enforcement roles.
- Knowledge of port security operations is an advantage.
Position: Technician Equipment (3 Positions)
Location: Chuping, Perlis
Job Summary
The Technician Equipment is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all port handling equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime. This includes reach stackers, empty container handlers and terminal tractors. The role requires hands-on technical skills and the ability to respond promptly to equipment breakdowns during assigned shifts.
Responsibilities
- Manage scheduled preventive maintenance on cargo handling equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime, operational disruptions, report equipment abnormalities or potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide on-shift technical support for equipment operations during terminal and rail activities.
- Coordinate with operations teams to plan equipment servicing during off-peak hours to reduce operational impact.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian DOSH regulations and OEM guidelines for equipment maintenance.
- Prepare shift reports highlighting issues, completed work, pending tasks for the next shift and support implementation of predictive maintenance practices where applicable.
- Other tasks as delegated or directed by the superior/management or any person authorised.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably in ports, logistics or industrial environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with handling equipment brands such as Kalmar, Konecranes or similar is an advantage.
Position: Equipment Operator (Terminal Tractor) (18 Positions)
Location: Chuping, Perlis
Job Summary
The Terminal Tractor Operator is responsible for operating terminal tractor or yard tractors to transport containers and cargo within the Inland Port Perlis Sdn Bhd (IPPSB) premises including between rail tracks, container yards and warehouses. The role requires adherence to operational schedules, safety standards and efficient handling of container to support smooth rail and yard operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate the terminal tractor/yard tractors to move containers between designated areas within the inland port in a safe manner as per instructions.
- Follow planned routes and yard allocations provided by the operations team via system.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on the terminal tractor including brakes, tires, lights, cleanliness etc and immediately report any issues, damages or abnormalities to the Shift Supervisor.
- Operate the terminal tractor in accordance with company SOPs, traffic rules and safety regulations.
- Wear PPE at all times and ensure safe practices when operating in congested yard environments.
- Coordinate with reach stacker/empty stacker (RS/ES) operators, supervisors and yard planners for container positioning and ensure timely execution of container moves as per operational schedules.
- Assist in minimising delays and optimising container flow during high-volume operations.
- Other tasks as delegated or directed by the superior/management or any person authorised.
Requirements
- Malaysian citizen with a valid driving license (GDL preferred).
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in operating terminal tractors, yard tractors or heavy vehicles in logistics or port environments.
- Physically fit and able to work on shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Good understanding of safety standards and cargo handling procedures is an added advantage.
