The Bumiputera Development Action 2030 (TBP2030) aims to improve the socio-economic status and equity ownership of the Bumiputera community while continuing the New Economic Policy (NEP). Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this 10-year plan will rapidly develop the Bumiputera ecosystem alongside technological and global advancements.
TBP2030 focuses on creating a capable, independent, and competitive new generation of Bumiputera, guided by strong values and integrity. The goal is to help them seize opportunities locally and globally, elevating the community’s status.
Participating in the exhibition has significantly boosted Mutiara Perlis’s visibility. By showcasing the Perlis Inland Port project, they have highlighted the strategic importance and potential of this initiative to a broader audience. This exposure helps attract potential investors and partners, enhancing their reputation and credibility in the infrastructure development sector.
Additionally, the exhibition provided a platform for Mutiara Perlis to demonstrate their commitment to regional development and economic growth, aligning with Malaysia’s broader goals. This increased visibility can lead to more opportunities for collaboration and support from both government and private sectors.
The plan includes strategies and initiatives aligned with the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 (SPV2030) and the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP). Despite being the majority group, the Bumiputera still face gaps in wealth, income, and asset ownership.
The government is committed to boosting Bumiputera participation in large-scale projects and reviewing procurement policies of government-linked companies. They are also exploring a mechanism to ensure Bumiputera equity remains within the community.
